About the role#
As an Agronomy Operations Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the daily functions of an agricultural facility. You will work alongside experienced professionals to learn about crop protection, nutrient products, and seed operations. This is a paid, full-time internship based on-site in Dupree, South Dakota, covering the Winter and Summer 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Learn core agronomy skills including field scouting, mixing procedures, and product delivery.
- Perform daily seed and agronomy operations while monitoring inventory quality.
- Assist with preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment like sprayers, trucks, conveyors, and floaters.
- Handle record keeping and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Provide customer service and ensure all tasks follow environmental and safety policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Ag Business, Crop Science, or related agriculture degree program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- An agriculture background or previous internship experience is helpful but not required.
