About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within our accounting teams during the summer of 2026. You will support either a corporate or business unit accounting group, contributing to month-end close processes and financial reporting. Throughout the term, you will work with CHS professionals, participate in early career development activities, and present your findings to leadership in a capstone project.
What you'll do#
- Record journal entries in the general ledger.
- Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Prepare schedules to support the 10-Q reported to the SEC.
- Complete ad hoc accounting tasks, analysis, and reporting.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Gain exposure to CHS leadership.
What you'll need#
- Active pursuit of a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Previous work experience.
- Pursuit of CPA certification.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Interest in the agriculture industry and SAP experience are helpful but not required.
