About the role#
Chmura Economics & Analytics is hiring an Economics Intern to support our Economic Consulting team. This role involves working with economists and data scientists on consulting projects and data products. You will work in a hybrid capacity, with four days a week in our Richmond office.
What you'll do#
- Collect, organize, and evaluate data for use in macro and regional economic models.
- Assist with the analysis of local and regional economic issues.
- Collaborate with your manager to review project goals, tasks, and deadlines.
- Research and analyze data to develop project materials and documents.
- Apply economic theories and methodologies to assigned projects.
What you'll need#
- Current or rising junior or senior status in a bachelor's degree program for economics, business, or a related field.
- Completed coursework in economic theory and statistics or quantitative methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to analyze data and create spreadsheets, documents, and presentations.
- Experience conducting internet research for data, articles, and studies.
- Working knowledge of at least one statistics or econometrics package such as R, Python, Stata, SAS, or MATLAB.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
