As an HR Administrator/Assistant, you will work closely with the Human Resources Manager to support day-to-day operations and gain hands-on experience in recruitment, onboarding, and employee records. This role serves as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and assists with the administration of workplace policies and programs.
What you'll do#
- Serve as the first point of contact for general Human Resources inquiries.
- Support the recruitment process by managing job postings, performing first-level screening, coordinating interviews, and facilitating background and reference checks.
- Prepare and extend internal and external offer letters.
- Manage HR onboarding and offboarding requirements, including data entry and file updates within the HRIS.
- Assist with employee benefits enrollment and changes.
- Support the administration of various leaves, including medical, personal, and parental leave, while coordinating return-to-work documentation.
- Collaborate with the Health and Safety committee to facilitate monthly meetings.
- Work with the Social Committee to organize and facilitate employee engagement programs and events.
- Assist in the implementation of new HR policies, programs, and procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Human Resources Management program or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High level of communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A high degree of confidentiality and professional discretion.
- Intellectual curiosity regarding HR best practices and process improvement.
