About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in the field of imaging for students currently completing an accredited Radiology program. You will work under the direction and supervision of a technologist to assist in performing imaging examinations and participate in department projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist technologists with imaging examinations.
- Contribute to various department projects to gain introductory work experience.
- Interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members in a courteous and tactful manner.
- Follow detailed instructions to support clinical operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited School of Radiology with Senior status.
- BLS-Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or National Safety Council.
- Basic computer skills for efficient operation.
- A working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with the HIPAA Privacy Rule.
Location & details#
- Location: Kenosha, Wisconsin.
- Schedule: Flexible hours, ideally 2-3 days per week, designed to work around your school schedule.
- Status: Paid, full-time internship.
