About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in restaurant marketing, social media, guest experience, and community engagement. You will gain exposure to promotional campaigns, creative marketing, and restaurant operations. During the first three weeks, you will spend most of your time working in the Front of House to learn operations, hospitality, and Second Mile Service. Following this, you will continue to support restaurant operations for 25 percent of your time while focusing on marketing initiatives and a capstone project.
What you'll do#
- Create engaging content for social media and manage content calendars.
- Capture photo and video content during events and daily restaurant activities.
- Design graphics for social media, in-restaurant signage, and marketing campaigns.
- Develop marketing materials for restaurant initiatives and seasonal campaigns.
- Assist with planning and executing restaurant events and community outreach.
- Support guest engagement, food sampling, and Surprise & Delight initiatives.
- Represent the brand at select community events.
- Work alongside the Front of House team to support operations during peak periods.
- Complete a capstone marketing project focused on a specific restaurant objective, such as catering sales or breakfast growth.
What you'll need#
- Current college junior or senior, recent graduate, or student in Marketing, Communications, Business, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to take initiative and solve problems independently.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- A desire to learn and receive feedback.
- Experience with Canva or similar design tools is preferred.
- Prior experience in marketing, customer service, or events is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: 18 to 20 dollars per hour.
- Schedule: 20 to 30 hours per week.
