About the role#
This is an unpaid internship for undergraduate or graduate students during the Fall 2026 semester. The position involves supporting prevention efforts in the Bloomington-Normal community through direct collaboration with the McLean County Prevention Coordinator.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate training events for the coalition and the community.
- Conduct research on evidence-based practices.
- Manage social media accounts and assist with website updates.
- Develop newsletters and prepare outreach materials.
- Collect and analyze data to support projects such as Narcan education, BN Parents, and Recovery Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC).
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in Public Health, Psychology, Sociology, Communications, or Health Administration.
- Ability to work independently as a self-directed individual.
- Comfort engaging with community stakeholders.
- A strong interest in prevention efforts regarding underage drinking and drug use.
- Experience or interest in recovery is welcome.
- Ability to collect and analyze project data.
