About the role#
Chestnut Health Systems is seeking Marketing and Communications Interns to gain hands-on experience supporting marketing initiatives that educate and engage communities. This role is designed for students to build a professional portfolio while working alongside experienced professionals on projects that support a mission-driven healthcare organization. This is an evergreen, unpaid internship position with projects that vary based on department needs and student interests.
What you'll do#
- Create, write, edit, and proofread original content for various communication channels, including websites, newsletters, and brochures.
- Support social media strategy by developing content, creating graphics, and monitoring engagement.
- Assist with multimedia projects, including photography, videography, and digital storytelling.
- Support the planning and execution of internal and external events, including logistics and promotional materials.
- Design printed and digital marketing materials that align with brand standards.
- Research communication trends and best practices to support marketing campaigns and outreach.
- Provide administrative support, including preparing presentations, mailings, and information packets.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Health, Journalism, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated interest in writing, social media, graphic design, or digital marketing.
- Familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a professional environment.
