Marketing and Communications Intern

About the role#

Chestnut Health Systems is seeking Marketing and Communications Interns to gain hands-on experience supporting marketing initiatives that educate and engage communities. This role is designed for students to build a professional portfolio while working alongside experienced professionals on projects that support a mission-driven healthcare organization. This is an evergreen, unpaid internship position with projects that vary based on department needs and student interests.

What you'll do#

• Create, write, edit, and proofread original content for various communication channels, including websites, newsletters, and brochures.
• Support social media strategy by developing content, creating graphics, and monitoring engagement.
• Assist with multimedia projects, including photography, videography, and digital storytelling.
• Support the planning and execution of internal and external events, including logistics and promotional materials.
• Design printed and digital marketing materials that align with brand standards.
• Research communication trends and best practices to support marketing campaigns and outreach.
• Provide administrative support, including preparing presentations, mailings, and information packets.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Health, Journalism, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated interest in writing, social media, graphic design, or digital marketing.
• Familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn.
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a professional environment.
