About the role#
Chainlink Labs is seeking Research Interns to contribute to the development of secure and flexible decentralized oracle technologies. You will work alongside domain experts in applied cryptography, mechanism design, and distributed systems to solve research challenges and transition innovations into production environments.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with core engineering teams to identify and address critical research challenges.
- Study, invent, and build cutting-edge oracle technologies.
- Stay informed on the evolution of relevant technology ecosystems and participate in technical communities to guide research toward practical applications.
What you'll need#
- A B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience, including coursework in algorithms, data structures, and discrete math.
- Professional software development experience.
- Familiarity with the academic process, including the ability to perform literature searches and comprehend research papers.
- Preferred: An advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field, with coursework in cryptography, mechanism design, or distributed systems.
- Preferred: Proficiency in Go or Rust, and broad knowledge of blockchain technologies and smart contracts.
Location & details#
- This is a remote, full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
- Candidates should be able to overlap some working hours with Eastern Standard Time (EST).
- We accept applicants with backgrounds in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Cybersecurity.
