About the role#
CenCore is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support our engineering team in Springville. This role focuses on mechanical design, component research, and manufacturing coordination. You will work on parts, assemblies, and subsystems while gaining hands-on experience in a professional environment. This is a part-time, paid position that does not require a security clearance.
What you'll do#
- Design mechanical parts, assemblies, and subsystems.
- Research materials, components, and physics principles to inform design choices.
- Use CAD tools to create, review, and modify technical documentation.
- Work with manufacturing engineers to improve designs for production.
- Manage small project tasks through coordination and tracking.
- Identify questions and propose solutions to move your assigned work forward.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering or related degree program.
- Practical experience or coursework in CAD.
- A strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Availability to work 16 to 20 hours per week.
- Experience with Onshape or hands-on mechanical work like machining or prototyping is a plus.

- Location: Springville, Utah.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 16 to 20 hours per week, with most hours occurring between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- Compensation: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour.
