The Social Media Intern acts as a brand storyteller and voice for Cavender’s across all social channels. Reporting to the Social Media Manager, this position focuses on executing engagement strategies, managing community conversations, and supporting employee advocacy initiatives. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Support the Cavender’s culture, mission, vision, and values.
- Assist with daily social media tasks, including sourcing, curating, and distributing user-generated content.
- Build community engagement through relevant commentary and interaction.
- Support the Social Media Content Coordinator at special events, such as rodeos and grand openings.
- Assist with content copywriting and creative support across platforms.
- Research emerging social media trends, features, and new audiences to strengthen brand connection.
- Experiment with new methods to increase customer engagement and gather insights into buying patterns.
- Ensure all materials are error-free, delivered on time, and optimized for key performance indicators.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited high school or collegiate institution.
- A strong passion for the Western lifestyle and fashion industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret documents and communicate complex issues effectively.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- High integrity and the ability to represent the brand in a professional manner.
- Preferred majors include Communications, Media Studies, or Marketing.
