Risk Management Internship/Recent Grad!

About the role#

Carson Group is seeking interns to support the buildout and standardization of enterprise risk infrastructure. This is a hands-on role where you will own defined workstreams, engage with business leaders, and produce deliverables used by Legal, Compliance, Cybersecurity, and business operations. You will translate complex business processes into structured, risk-aligned documentation and maintain these records within centralized repositories.

What you'll do#

• Document and standardize policies, procedures, and process flows across business units.
• Develop and enhance Risk and Control Matrices aligned to the enterprise risk register.
• Identify and document policy, procedure, and control gaps across functions.
• Draft and structure risk statements using root-cause methodology.
• Operate independently to gather requirements and produce structured outputs.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Business, MIS, or a related STEM field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Exceptional written communication and documentation skills, with the ability to organize complex information clearly.
• Strong analytical and process-oriented thinking.
• Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.

• Location: Omaha, Nebraska.
• Modality: On-site or remote.
• Commitment: 30-40 hours per week (part-time applicants must be available at least 25 hours per week during regular business hours).
• Term: Rolling.
