Finance Intern

About the role#

As a Finance Intern at Carson Group, you will support wealth advisors and planners in a professional office environment. This role focuses on maintaining client accounts, preparing financial documentation, and assisting with data analysis to support advisor recommendations. You will gain hands-on experience in financial services by collaborating with operations teams and participating in client-facing activities.

What you'll do#

• Prepare client review materials and draft necessary paperwork for account establishment and maintenance.
• Analyze financial planning data to assist in developing recommendations under the direction of advisors.
• Provide professional, timely communication to clients and route complex inquiries to the appropriate team members.
• Coordinate with operations to track form status, signatures, and transfers while ensuring records are accurate and compliant.
• Participate in team meetings, advisor huddles, and client events to capture action items and support follow-up tasks.
• Engage in required training and continuing education to expand knowledge of financial planning tools and processes.

What you'll need#

• Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in an on-site office environment.
• Preferred: Knowledge of financial advisor tools such as Orion and Salesforce.
• Preferred: Experience working in a professional office setting.
