About the role#
CareStar is looking for a Rising Star to join our Support Services department. This role offers experience in long-term care case management and population health. You will work directly with individuals to help them obtain community-based in-home health services. This position provides exposure to various operational areas of the company, including clinical operations, quality improvement, marketing, human resources, business development, finance, social work, and information technology.
What you'll do#
- Assist individuals in obtaining community-based in-home health services.
- Coordinate the Support Services Pool to schedule assessments.
- Provide clinical operations support and ensure HIPAA compliance when handling medical records and waiver applications.
- Perform clinical intake audits and research quality metrics.
- Participate in and lead cross-training efforts for support services tasks.
- Assist with administrative projects across departments, such as processing payroll, updating marketing materials, or troubleshooting IT equipment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or upcoming enrollment in a degree-seeking college program.
- Ability to commit to the role for one year.
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office programs.
- Majors considered include Health Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology, Sociology, and Cybersecurity.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, part-time, paid internship.
- Positions are located in Cincinnati, Hamilton, and Mason, Ohio.
- The internship term follows a rolling schedule.
