ABA Practicum Student

About the role#

Carelinks is hiring Practicum Students to support our in-home ABA team in Des Moines. This role is designed for individuals currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an ABA Master’s program who are seeking hands-on field experience. You will work directly in home settings alongside RBTs and BCBAs to improve staff performance, client outcomes, and service quality.

What you'll do#

• Support onboarding and competency-based training for new RBTs.
• Provide in-the-moment coaching, modeling, and feedback in home settings.
• Step into sessions to support staff with higher-needs clients or challenging behaviors.
• Assist with in-person observations and data collection for assessments.
• Help maintain strong treatment integrity and reduce drift in implementation.
• Collaborate with BCBAs on the implementation of treatment plans.
• Provide direct care coverage up to approximately 20 hours per week to reduce cancellations.
• Identify training or support gaps and help address them proactively.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in or recent graduation from an ABA Master’s program.
• Minimum of 600 practicum hours completed.
• RBT certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• SafetyCare certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Strong coaching, modeling, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in home-based settings.
• Willingness to travel locally.
