About the role#
Carelinks is looking for Practicum Students to support our in-home ABA team in Des Moines. This is a hands-on role for students currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an ABA Master’s program who want field experience. You will work directly in homes alongside RBTs and BCBAs to improve staff performance and client outcomes.
What you'll do#
- Support onboarding and competency-based training for new RBTs.
- Provide coaching, modeling, and feedback during home sessions.
- Assist staff during sessions with higher-needs clients or challenging behaviors.
- Help with in-person observations and data collection for assessments.
- Maintain treatment integrity and reduce implementation drift.
- Collaborate with BCBAs to carry out treatment plans.
- Provide direct care coverage up to 20 hours per week.
- Identify training gaps and address them.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from an ABA Master’s program.
- At least 600 completed practicum hours.
- RBT certification or the willingness to obtain it within 30 days.
- SafetyCare certification or the willingness to obtain it within 30 days.
- Ability to coach, model, and communicate effectively.
- Comfort working independently in home settings.
- Willingness to travel locally.
