About the role#
Carelinks is hiring Practicum Students to support our in-home ABA team in Des Moines. This role is designed for individuals currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an ABA Master’s program who are seeking hands-on field experience. You will work directly in home settings alongside RBTs and BCBAs to improve staff performance, client outcomes, and service quality.
What you'll do#
- Support onboarding and competency-based training for new RBTs.
- Provide in-the-moment coaching, modeling, and feedback in home settings.
- Step into sessions to support staff with higher-needs clients or challenging behaviors.
- Assist with in-person observations and data collection for assessments.
- Help maintain strong treatment integrity and reduce drift in implementation.
- Collaborate with BCBAs on the implementation of treatment plans.
- Provide direct care coverage up to approximately 20 hours per week to reduce cancellations.
- Identify training or support gaps and help address them proactively.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from an ABA Master’s program.
- Minimum of 600 practicum hours completed.
- RBT certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- SafetyCare certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Strong coaching, modeling, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in home-based settings.
- Willingness to travel locally.
