Software Engineering Intern

About the role#

Cadence is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join our research and development team. This role focuses on building and prototyping AI/ML solutions, requiring strong analytical skills and the ability to contribute to technical projects in an evolving environment.

What you'll do#

• Work within a research and development environment to support project goals.
• Engage in rapid prototyping for open-source AI and machine learning projects.
• Apply analytical thinking and debugging skills to solve technical challenges.

What you'll need#

• Current pursuit or recent completion of a degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), and LLMs.
• Solid understanding of machine learning concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning, NLP, and computer vision.
• Proficiency in Python; experience with C++ is considered valuable.
• Experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or SciKit.
• Basic understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and vector databases.
• Experience working with LLM APIs and integrating them into applications.
