About the role#
As a Fire Protection Engineering Intern within the Global Facilities group, you will support the planning and design of manufacturing facilities, data centers, and mission-critical infrastructure. You will work on projects spanning industries like aerospace, food and beverage, and healthcare. This position is based in Columbus, Ohio, and requires about 5% travel.
What you'll do#
- Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to project tasks.
- Assist lead engineers with daily project duties.
- Create standard designs for engineering systems.
- Correct and update existing designs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program for Fire Protection Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is strongly preferred, as is an ABET-accredited degree program.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and an active role in campus or community organizations.
- Prior internship or consulting experience is preferred.
- You must be a self-motivated learner authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Compensation: $18.00 - $34.00 per hour
- Benefits: Participation in the 401(k) program is available if eligibility requirements are met. Sick leave is accrued based on hours worked.
