About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the Quality & Food Safety department at a manufacturing facility. You will work on projects that support our food business units and gain exposure to programs like HACCP, laboratory instrumentation, and product inspection. The role follows a 70/20/10 learning model, focusing heavily on practical application.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the daily objectives of the Quality & Food Safety department.
- Validate microbial sampling and testing techniques.
- Develop and review laboratory and sampling Standard Operating Procedures.
- Analyze how changes in processing conditions affect finished product characteristics.
- Participate in internal audits and update Food Safety Plans.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
- Strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to analyze data and present findings in clear, concise reports.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to follow tasks through to completion.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.

- Term: Summer 2027 (approximately 12 weeks).
