About the role#
The Market Risk Analyst Intern joins our team to identify, analyze, and mitigate a wide range of risks across the organization. This role takes a holistic view of risk, covering traditional market factors alongside capital projects, cybersecurity, insurance, and climate-related exposures. You will work across departments to integrate risk mitigation strategies into our daily operations.
What you'll do#
- Integrate market risk considerations into our enterprise risk management framework and maintain risk reporting dashboards.
- Evaluate risks for capital projects and provide risk-adjusted valuations for investment decisions.
- Analyze insurance programs to assess adequacy and recommend adjustments.
- Monitor macroeconomic, geopolitical, and market trends to perform stress testing and scenario analysis.
- Develop and maintain risk models to quantify exposures.
- Manage risk-related projects and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.
- Contribute to cybersecurity monitoring and develop business continuity plans for corporate and industrial sites.
- Assess climate-related risks and support strategies to improve sustainability.
- Analyze risks tied to joint ventures and venture capital investments.
- Prepare risk reports for senior management and assist with risk awareness training.
What you'll need#
- A Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in market risk analysis, ideally within an agricultural, food, or financial firm.
- Working knowledge of Python and experience building or maintaining reports in Tableau.
- Proficiency in statistical modeling and risk management software.
- A strong grasp of financial markets, commodities, and regulatory requirements.
- Professional certifications like FRM, CFA, or CPA are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.

- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Chesterfield, Missouri.
- The position operates on a rolling term basis.
