About the role#
BSI Financial Services is applying AI to mortgage servicing. As a Product Management Intern, you will own a specific operational problem. You will scope the issue, design a solution, and build a working prototype. This is a hands-on role where you ship code and build products rather than creating slide decks.
What you'll do#
- Identify and scope a high-impact problem in mortgage servicing, lending, or data workflows.
- Design product solutions by creating user flows, wireframes, and concise PRDs.
- Build a functioning proof-of-concept using AI coding tools like Cursor or Claude Code.
- Test and iterate on your prototype with internal end-users and collect feedback.
- Collaborate with data engineering, operations, and analytics teams to validate your solutions.
- Present your findings, demos, and future roadmaps to company leadership at the end of the summer.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI/ML, Data Science, or a closely related technical field.
- Demonstrated technical ability through personal projects, open source contributions, or hackathons.
- Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, or a scripting language.
- Proficiency with AI coding tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or Cursor to accelerate development.
- Ability to work independently to move from an ambiguous problem to a working prototype.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting to leadership.
- Preferred: Experience in fintech or enterprise software and familiarity with tools like Databricks, Sigma, or rapid prototyping platforms.
