About the role#
This is a full-time, paid summer internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will join the Investor Services Service Delivery division in Jersey City, New Jersey. This on-site role focuses on the operational side of global banking, where you will gain exposure to fund accounting, custody operations, global client service, and transformation management. You will work alongside industry leaders and collaborate with fellow interns on a high-visibility team project to present recommendations to senior management.
What you'll do#
- Manage high-volume financial transactions with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and escalate findings as needed.
- Communicate with internal and external clients and counterparties to resolve issues.
- Analyze business processes to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Work with large data sets to uncover insights that inform operational decisions.
- Utilize generative AI tools to assist with daily tasks and projects.
- Contribute to department process improvement activities.
- Participate in workshops, speaker series, and networking events to support your professional development.
What you'll need#
- Current junior status, entering your senior year in Fall 2027.
- A background in and passion for Business, Innovation and Design, or Project Management.
- A GPA of 3.3 or higher.
- Demonstrated leadership skills through academic or extracurricular activities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically, both independently and as part of a team.
- Sound judgment and the ability to prioritize competing demands under deadlines.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including comfort with VLOOKUP, IF formulas, pivot tables, and basic charting.
- Intellectual curiosity regarding the use of generative AI tools.
