About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience within our Operations team. You will support supply chain objectives through a mix of daily tasks and project work. You will learn how different business functions interact and depend on each other. At the end of your term, you will deliver a presentation on the knowledge you gained and the impact of your work.
What you'll do#
- Create purchase orders for selected suppliers and non-conforming materials.
- Manage on-time delivery of materials and ensure supplier NDA compliance.
- Monitor supply levels to identify potential stockouts.
- Analyze inventory for raw, WIP, and finished goods.
- Evaluate end-of-life and scrap materials.
- Perform root-cause analysis and assist with global SIOP integration.
- Review forecast accuracy and build plan attainment.
- Aid in continuous improvement projects for supply chain operations.
- Build relationships with internal and external associates.
What you'll need#
- Third- or fourth-year undergraduate status in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and an aptitude for Microsoft Power BI.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of professionalism.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated mathematical aptitude and research skills.
- Ability to follow work and quality procedures.
- Preferred: Experience in an office environment or working with external organizations.
- Preferred: Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, ISO 13485 requirements, and contract negotiation.
Location & details#
- Location: Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week in summer; 15-20 hours per week during the school year).
- Compensation: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour.
- Status: Paid internship.
