About the role#
The eHW Process Methods & Tools Intern will join the Electronics Hardware and Innovation Engineering organization for the Summer 2027 term. This position focuses on process improvement, data analytics, and engineering tool development. You will work alongside engineers, process specialists, and IT teams to improve operational efficiency and reporting capabilities for hardware development programs.
What you'll do#
- Analyze engineering processes to identify efficiency improvements and standardization opportunities.
- Collect and organize data from multiple sources to monitor process performance.
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using key performance indicators.
- Support the creation and maintenance of quality metrics.
- Assist in the development, testing, and enhancement of engineering tool chains.
- Configure and implement tools to align with hardware engineering requirements.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to improve digital solutions.
- Document processes and create training materials to support knowledge transfer.
- Analyze project trends and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Present data-driven insights to management.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or graduation from an accredited college or university.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Current pursuit of a degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analytics functions.
- Experience with tools such as Microsoft Office, Power BI, SharePoint, or Jira.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- An interest in engineering processes, quality systems, and lifecycle management.
- Ability to work with large datasets and explain findings to various audiences.
