The Client Technologies Specialist IT Intern is a year-round position focused on supporting the IT customer environment. You will assist in enhancing and maintaining desktop systems, providing specialized IT services, and supporting facility-related technology such as audio-visual equipment, security systems, and printing hardware. This role involves on-site support and collaboration with IT infrastructure teams to ensure effective service delivery.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain relationships with staff and IT infrastructure teams.
- Provide general desktop and laptop support, including device configuration, application installation, and troubleshooting.
- Support Service Management processes and ensure quality services are performed to agreed SLAs.
- Apply Incident, Problem, and Change Management principles to resolve issues.
- Maintain license management, version control, and client security settings.
- Support local production and manufacturing connectivity, including printer installation and configuration.
- Participate in hardware refresh projects and provide high-level meeting support.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong customer focus with a service-oriented mindset.
- Functional and technical problem-solving skills.
- Experience or practice within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to engage and work effectively with outside vendors or partners.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to communicate technical topics to both technical and non-technical associates.
