About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term. You will work within the Government and Industry Affairs team to support stakeholder engagement, policy tracking, and event coordination. This role requires a hybrid work schedule and may occasionally involve travel outside of Canada for training or work purposes.
What you'll do#
- Monitor Canadian and international news media for developments in government, public policy, and industry issues.
- Track policy files through the legislative process and report on relevant updates.
- Monitor government committee proceedings and provide summaries to internal stakeholders.
- Manage Outlook calendars, invitee lists, and RSVP tracking for stakeholder visits and events.
- Coordinate logistics and briefing materials for site tours and delegations.
- Use Asana to track engagement, policy files, and events.
- Update stakeholder maps and engagement history.
- Report on event outcomes and strategic engagement opportunities.
- Complete one to two medium or long-term policy research projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a university program for political science, public administration, international relations, communications, or a related field.
- A strong understanding of the Canadian political system and public policy.
- Experience in research, reporting, and stakeholder communications.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment.
- Professional judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
- Familiarity with Power BI, SharePoint, Outlook, and Asana is a plus.
- Experience with social media monitoring is an asset.
Location & details#
- Locations: Dorval, Quebec and the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario.
- Requirement: Residents of the Greater Toronto Area must be able to commute to the Bombardier Aircraft Assembly Centre near Toronto Pearson International Airport.
- Note: This position is open to current students only, not new graduates.
