About the role#
Bohler is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our team in Melville, New York for the Summer 2027 term. This internship provides hands-on experience in site design and land development. You will work alongside engineers, designers, and project managers on commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use projects. This position is full-time and on-site.
What you'll do#
- Create design, grading, stormwater management, utility system, and soil erosion and sediment control plans.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to support project design and permitting.
- Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
- Visit project sites to observe field conditions and the engineering process.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to design and process improvements.
- Collaborate with the project team to coordinate and drive development projects forward.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Curiosity and motivation to learn.
