About the role#
Boehringer Ingelheim is hiring an MSAT Co-Op for the Winter 2027 term. This position is based on-site in Saint Joseph, Missouri. You will work within the Site Manufacturing Science and Technology department on projects involving manufactured biological products like vaccines, proteins, and antibodies. This is a paid, full-time role.
What you'll do#
- Conduct experiments to evaluate raw material selection, process optimization, and robustness for existing products.
- Prepare, set up, and execute equipment, growth parameters, and buffer selection.
- Qualify new equipment and ensure all existing equipment remains in operational status.
- Investigate and share knowledge regarding bioprocess methodologies.
- Support characterization efforts for existing products.
- Maintain compliance with all documentation guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Complete all required training for the site and the bioprocess function.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college or university.
- Pursuit of a degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of at least 12 credit hours for undergraduates or 9 credit hours for graduate students.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale is preferred.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Willingness to complete a drug test and post-offer physical.
