About the role#
This IT Co-Op role is based in the Research, Development and Medicine department. You will help develop solutions for scientific business teams and IT. You will work on project teams to support business goals while gaining experience with our systems and internal processes.
What you'll do#
- Meet with IT colleagues and PharmTox stakeholders to gather requirements and suggest improvements.
- Develop data analysis routines, reports, and tools for assigned systems.
- Participate in project teams and deliver on tasks using an agile framework.
- Document your work and maintain awareness of emerging technology trends and IT best practices.
- Use your knowledge of system architecture to provide technical solutions.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate, graduate, or professional student in good academic standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Completed at least 12 credit hours in a related major.
- Experience with Power BI and application development using Python.
- Understanding of agile methodology and experience with Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
- Knowledge of relational databases like MSSQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with ETL activities, Robotics Process Automation, and AI trends.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical team members.
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position based in Ridgefield, Connecticut.
- The role is hybrid, requiring you to be on-site 2 to 3 days per week.
- You must be located within commuting distance of the Ridgefield office.
- The commitment is for at least 4 months, with the possibility of an extension up to 6 months.
