    About the role#

    Boehringer Ingelheim is hiring a Co-Op IT Engineer to join the IT RDM department at the Ridgefield facility. You will work on IT projects and initiatives while supporting research and development activities. This is a full-time position requiring you to work on-site at least 3 days per week. The role lasts for a minimum of 4 months, with a potential extension up to 6 months.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with IT staff and research scientists to analyze their processes and business needs.
    • Propose, develop, test, and deploy IT solutions for research challenges.
    • Perform data curation tasks and generate reports.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Data Science.
    • Completion of at least 12 credit hours for undergraduates or 9 credit hours for graduate students.
    • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
    • Proficiency in at least one high-level programming or scripting language like Python, Java, or C#.
    • Understanding of computer programming, data storage, and relational databases.
    • Knowledge of Windows and Linux systems and computer networks.
    • Legal authorization to work in the United States without restriction.
    • Ability to pass a drug test and post-offer physical if required.
    • Minimum age of 18.
    • Experience with web applications, UI design, data engineering, or APIs is a plus.

    Location & details#

    • The position is located in Ridgefield, Connecticut.
    • This is a paid, full-time hybrid role.
    • You must be located in the local area for the duration of the co-op.
