About the role#
This co-op position in the Material and Analytical Sciences department offers an opportunity to gain experience with laboratory equipment and the drug development process. You will work on-site at the Ridgefield, Connecticut facility to support isolation process development.
What you'll do#
- Design and conduct automated solubility experiments using high-throughput tools and robotics.
- Analyze experimental results by applying machine learning, data analytics, modeling, and computer vision.
- Develop a digital, automated workflow to support isolation process development.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited college or university.
- Completion of at least 12 credit hours for undergraduates or 9 credit hours for graduate students.
- A major or minor in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Data Science, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Experience with Python or other programming tools for machine learning, data analytics, computer vision, and laboratory automation.
- Familiarity with thermodynamic models including NRTL, UNIFAC, and UNIQUAC.
- A self-motivated approach to independent research.
- PhD candidates in relevant fields are preferred.
