About the role#
As a CDC Teaching Assistant, you will help the teacher supervise and manage infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This is a part-time, on-site role at Bob Jones University. The position qualifies for the Federal Work-Study program for students who demonstrate financial need through their FAFSA.
What you'll do#
- Help develop, plan, and carry out a daily curriculum that supports the social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and spiritual growth of children.
- Follow safety guidelines to keep children safe at all times.
- Perform assigned tasks and duties according to established standards and procedures.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old and currently enrolled as a student at Bob Jones University.
- You need to pass SLED and FBI background checks.
- You should have knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for young children.
- You must be able to move quickly to supervise children, lift equipment or children, and see and hear at a distance.
- You need to maintain a positive attitude and model a Christ-like demeanor toward children, coworkers, and parents.
- You must complete 15 clock hours of annual training, along with Blood borne Pathogens and Right to Know training.
- You are required to complete a physical exam and a PPD (TB) test.
