About the role#
The Blinn Ambassador Program hires students to represent the college and share their experiences with prospective students. You will work up to 15 hours per week at the RELLIS campus. This role involves physical activity, including walking long distances in various weather conditions and lifting up to 25 pounds.
What you'll do#
- Give tours to prospective students and their families.
- Speak to school and civic groups about the college.
- Help with recruiting activities.
- Complete clerical tasks and other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Federal work study eligibility.
- A minimum 2.5 GPA.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate with large groups.
- A commitment to valuing diversity and assisting individuals with special needs.
- Experience with public speaking or giving presentations is preferred.
- You will need to provide an unofficial transcript and a recommendation letter from a teacher, counselor, or faculty member.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Bryan, Texas, at the RELLIS campus.
- Work hours are scheduled between 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday, around your class schedule.
- This is a part-time, paid position with an hourly wage of $11.00.
