About the role#
As a Structural Engineer Intern for the Power division, you will contribute to infrastructure projects while gaining professional experience. You will work alongside teams to turn ideas into practical solutions. This is a paid, full-time summer internship based in Overland Park, Kansas.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of design specifications and contract drawings.
- Perform engineering analyses and assist with report production.
- Prepare basic structural calculations.
- Analyze systems using computer modeling.
- Organize and maintain project materials and references.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program.
- Completion of at least one design course.
- A preferred emphasis in Structural Engineering.
- Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, including a background check and drug screen.
