About the role#
We are looking for a third or fourth-year student to join our team as a part-time Software Development Intern. You will work alongside our operations, customer success, and finance teams to build and improve the tools that run our daily business. This is an on-site position at our Mississauga office requiring at least 20 hours per week during the school year.
What you'll do#
- Build and improve internal dashboards that help our teams track performance.
- Create automations to connect our existing systems and reduce manual data entry.
- Develop workflow tools to support daily operations.
- Build and maintain customer-facing applications.
- Fix bugs and make improvements to existing production tools.
- Write documentation for the tools you build so others can use and support them.
- Use AI coding tools as a standard part of your daily workflow.
- Review, test, and take ownership of AI-generated code.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the third or fourth year of a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering program.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript and at least one back end language like Python.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and a front end framework such as React or Vue.
- Experience building and using REST APIs.
- Ability to integrate third-party APIs including Zoho, Slack, or Google Workspace.
- Daily hands-on experience with AI coding tools like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude Code.
- Ability to debug, test, and verify AI-generated code.
- Experience with SQL databases and spreadsheet-style data sources.
- Proficiency with Git for version control.
- Experience writing basic tests for your code.
- Ability to turn loosely defined business problems into working tools.
- Clear communication skills for working with non-technical team members.
- Experience with AI or LLM APIs is an asset.
