About the role#
We are looking for an Intern in Computer Vision to work on real-world perception and AI challenges. This role focuses on modern approaches, experimentation, and turning ideas into practical systems. We are interested in students pursuing M.A.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D. degrees in technical fields, though undergraduates and self-taught candidates with a strong portfolio of projects are also encouraged to apply.
What you'll do#
- Develop modern computer vision and multimodal AI systems.
- Work on OCR, visual recognition, vision-language models, and AI agents.
- Design and optimize algorithms.
- Improve confidence estimation and model reliability.
- Utilize simulation and synthetic data.
- Build active and self-learning systems.
- Conduct statistical modelling and experimentation.
- Analyze and improve failure cases in production AI systems.
What you'll need#
- A foundation in modern AI, computer vision, algorithms, mathematics, or statistics.
- Ability to design algorithms and reason through technical problems.
- Understanding of modern AI architectures and research.
- Ability to break down open-ended problems into testable ideas.
- Experience designing and running experiments.
- Experience working with real-world datasets.
- Ability to read research papers and apply relevant ideas.
- Ability to analyze why AI systems fail.
- Ability to build and test ideas independently.
- A strong portfolio of projects.
