About the role#
Bennett & Pless is hiring engineering students for a Summer 2027 internship in our Nashville office. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site. You will work on various project types including commercial, industrial, data centers, and historical renovations.
What you'll do#
- Design specific elements within overall structural systems.
- Coordinate with structural engineers and designers to meet client expectations.
- Prepare construction drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Perform calculations as directed by the project structural engineer.
- Review shop drawings and submittals.
- Assist with site reviews and prepare RFI responses.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- A Master's degree in Structural Engineering is a plus.
- Required experience with AutoCAD.
- Experience with Revit is a plus.
- Familiarity with software such as Bentley RAM, RISA, EnerCalc, Adapt, and Microsoft products.
- Ability to learn and apply project-specific building codes.
- Strong communication skills and a self-starter attitude.
- Willingness to listen, learn, and improve.
