About the role#
Bennett & Pless is hiring engineering students for our summer internship program in Atlanta. You will work on structural systems for projects including manufacturing facilities, data centers, retail spaces, and historical renovations.
What you'll do#
- Design structural elements for various project types.
- Coordinate with structural engineers and designers to meet quality standards.
- Create construction drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Prepare calculations and RFI responses under the direction of a project structural engineer.
- Review shop drawings and submittals.
- Assist with site reviews.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- A Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is a plus.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required, and Revit experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with software such as Microsoft products, Bentley (RAM), RISA, EnerCalc, and Adapt.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn project-specific building codes.
- A self-starter mindset and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
