About the role#
As an Assurance Intern, you will work within our audit practice to gain hands-on experience with our firm's methodology and client services. You will work alongside experienced team members who provide coaching and direction throughout the summer. This role is designed to help you build professional relationships and gain a practical perspective on the accounting industry.
What you'll do#
- Participate in a structured training program to learn Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
- Assist with various stages of the audit process using our firm's specific methodology.
- Provide support functions to audit staff during engagements.
- Prepare and document work in working papers using our tools and templates.
- Communicate with clients, creditors, and banks regarding audit issues.
- Complete one assigned research project and present your findings to a panel of professionals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting.
- Active pursuit of school credits required to become a CPA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting and follow instructions as directed.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Compensation: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour.
