About the role#
The BBYO Genesis Fellowship is a two-year program designed to provide professional development through department rotations, mentorship, and leadership training. Fellows work directly with teens to support chapter programming, recruitment, and regional event planning. This is a full-time, paid position based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
What you'll do#
- Work directly with teens in grades 8-12 to create and facilitate impactful local chapter programs.
- Mentor teen leaders and deliver leadership training to support chapter growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with volunteers, parents, and community stakeholders.
- Recruit new members and assist with retention efforts.
- Facilitate the planning of citywide and regional events, including overnight conventions.
- Manage regional communications, including email newsletters and social media.
- Track regional data related to membership, prospects, and program logistics.
- Staff summer leadership programs and attend regional conventions as well as staff conferences.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor's degree or higher.
- 0-3 years of work or volunteer experience.
- Experience working with youth or teens in a camp or organizational setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of Jewish culture and the Jewish calendar.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel as needed for events and conferences.
- Must reside in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and have access to reliable transportation.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
