    About the role#

    As a Field Compliance Summer Associate, you will join our Agricultural Solutions team to support the development and evaluation of canola hybrids. You will work across various research plots, including agronomic trials, breeding operations, and trait development. This role offers hands-on experience in a global agri-business setting.

    What you'll do#

    • Support trial activities focused on developing and evaluating canola hybrids.
    • Manage the full crop cycle, from seed preparation and planting to pest control, pollination, and harvest.
    • Monitor crop health and collect data to assist in hybrid and parental selection.
    • Assist with field logistics and supervise casual staff when necessary.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in or completion of a degree in Agriculture or a related field.
    • A genuine interest in agronomics, plant breeding, hybrid development, or field research.
    • Ability to solve problems and adapt to changing conditions in the field.
    • Experience working both independently and as part of a team.
    • A current Class 5 Alberta Driver's License.

    • Locations: Ardrossan and Sherwood Park, Alberta.
    • Term: Summer 2027 (4 to 6 months).
    • Type: Full-time, on-site, and paid.
    • Note: Students will be employed through a third-party agency.
