About the role#
This position supports the Certified Seed Supply team in Outlook, Saskatchewan. You will work with growers to produce InVigor canola, assisting with everything from the initial seeding to the final harvest. This is a full-time, paid contract role for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Participate in plot and field scale trials.
- Manage seed production tasks, including planting, spraying, crop synchronization, mowing, and harvesting.
- Process samples and monitor crop health as it matures.
- Scout fields for weed, disease, and insect pressure.
- Maintain relationships with local growers and provide agronomic advice regarding certified seed production.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Agriculture degree or a similar program.
- Agronomic knowledge and experience in the agriculture or farming industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to solve problems and work independently when necessary.
- Flexibility to adjust plans as field conditions change.
- High attention to detail.
- Experience operating farm equipment is highly desired.

- Location: Outlook, Saskatchewan.
- Term: Summer 2027 (4 to 6 months duration).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $25 to $32 per hour, with overtime pay for evenings or weekends during peak periods.
