    About the role#

    This is a full-time summer position based in Lethbridge, Alberta. You will support the Agriculture Solutions team by participating in plot and field scale trials. The program focuses on evaluating new canola production methods to improve seed quality and yield from parental lines. You will be hired through a third-party contracting agency.

    What you'll do#

    • Manage and collect data from multiple research sites across Southern Alberta.
    • Execute agronomic practices on a timely basis.
    • Perform planting, spraying, crop synchronization, mowing, harvesting, and sample processing.
    • Work both within a team and independently as required by site needs.
    • Adjust plans as situations arise to maintain project results.

    What you'll need#

    • Agronomic knowledge gained through a degree in Agriculture or a similar program.
    • Experience in the agriculture or farming industry.
    • A valid class 5 driver's license.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
    • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
    • Flexibility to modify plans when necessary.
    • Experience with farm equipment is highly desired.

    • Location: Lethbridge, Alberta.
    • Term: Summer 2027 (4 months).
    • Work modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: $25 - $32 per hour, with overtime pay for evenings or weekends during peak periods.
