About the role#
We are looking for individuals to join our Agricultural Solutions team for the Summer 2027 season. You will work on-site at our research facilities in Ardrossan and Sherwood Park, Alberta. These roles support our Agronomic Excellence, Breeding Operations, and Trait Development teams as they evaluate new canola hybrids and conduct research trials.
What you'll do#
- Support the full crop cycle, including seed preparation, planting, pest control, pollination, and harvest.
- Monitor crop health and collect data to assist in the selection of parental and hybrid varieties.
- Help manage field logistics and supervise casual staff when necessary.
- Assist with trial activities to develop and evaluate canola hybrids.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or completion of a degree in Agriculture or a related field.
- A genuine interest in plant breeding, agronomics, field research, or hybrid development.
- Ability to solve problems and adapt to changing conditions in the field.
- Experience working both independently and as part of a team.
- A valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's License.
- Previous experience working on a farm or operating machinery is considered an asset.

- Term: Summer 2027 (4 to 8 month duration).
- Status: Full-time, paid position.
