About the role#
This position is a summer role based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. You will join the Agricultural Solutions team to support local and global breeding programs. The role focuses on developing hybrids that provide high returns to growers.
What you'll do#
- Support field trials and activities related to variety development and registration.
- Manage tasks including seed set up, land preparation, seeding, pest control, pollination management, plot maintenance, parental development, and harvesting.
- Monitor field and research plots daily to diagnose crop health and collect data.
- Supervise casual employees as needed.
- Work both independently and within a group setting depending on the specific task.
What you'll need#
- Breeding and agronomic knowledge gained through a degree or diploma in agriculture or a related field.
- Recently obtained your degree or diploma within the last 2 years.
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to adapt plans as situations change.
- An interest in canola development and a drive to meet team and individual goals.
- Previous experience in the agriculture industry or with farm machinery is considered an asset.

- Location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
- Term: Summer 2027 (4 to 6 months duration).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $25 to $32 per hour, with overtime pay for evenings or weekends during peak periods.
