About the role#
We are looking for an Agronomic Excellence Summer Associate to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Brandon, Manitoba. This is a full-time, paid summer position for the 2027 season. Please note that students are hired and employed through a third-party agency, Raise Recruiting.
What you'll do#
- Conduct field trials with the local Agronomic Excellence group to evaluate canola hybrids, seed technology, and agronomic practices.
- Assist with field trial activities from seeding to harvest, including seed set up, land preparation, planting, pest control, plot maintenance, and harvesting.
- Supervise casual employees as required.
- Travel regularly in your local region for field scouting and crop health diagnosis.
- Perform daily monitoring of field and research plots.
- Manage data collection and analysis.
What you'll need#
- Strong agronomic competence gained through pursuing a degree in Agriculture or a related college program.
- Previous experience in agriculture field research.
- Familiarity and practical experience with agriculture equipment.
- Attention to detail and proven problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work toward both individual and team goals.
- Flexibility to modify plans as situations arise.
- A valid driver's license.

- Location: Brandon, Manitoba.
- Term: Summer 2027 (4 to 6 months).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $25 to $32 per hour, with overtime paid for evenings or weekends during peak periods.
