About the role#
Barge Design Solutions is seeking a Digital Innovation Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Nashville, Tennessee. You will work with the Digital team to research and test new technologies while gaining hands-on experience in an engineering and architecture environment.
What you'll do#
- Research emerging technologies and test their potential applications.
- Assist with prototypes, proofs of concept, technology pilots, and process automation.
- Identify ways to improve business processes and workflows through technology.
- Evaluate and implement new digital tools.
- Document solutions, testing results, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to develop solutions and project deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program at an accredited university.
- A major in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- A current GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Interest in automation, digital transformation, and innovation.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn new concepts and technologies quickly.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- You must be at least 18 years of age.

- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
