About the role#
Baltimore County Public Schools is seeking two full-time School Psychology Interns for the 2027-2028 school year. This internship provides consultation, assessment, and intervention services across a diverse suburban school district. The program is designed to meet the standards set by the National Association of School Psychologists and the Maryland State Department of Education.
What you'll do#
Under the direction of a field supervisor, you will provide a range of psychological services, including:
- Attending school team meetings.
- Conducting formal and informal student and classroom observations.
- Performing psychological, curriculum-based, and functional behavioral assessments.
- Writing assessment reports.
- Providing instructional and behavioral consultation.
- Delivering individual and group counseling.
- Offering staff development activities.
- Participating in staff meetings and Clinical Supervision sessions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a NASP or APA approved graduate program in School Psychology.
- A recommendation for internship from your graduate program, confirmed by a faculty letter of reference.
- Two letters of recommendation, including one from a faculty member and one from a field-based experience or practicum supervisor.
- Ability to provide proper identification and documentation of eligibility for employment in the United States.
Location & details#
- Location: Towson, Maryland.
- Modality: On-site with frequent travel to various district worksites.
- Compensation: Anticipated stipend of $24,000 for the term ending June 30th.
- Benefits: Limited benefits for temporary employees, including 403(b)/457 plans and paid sick and safe leave accruals.
- Physical requirements: The role involves walking, standing, lifting, and carrying to assist students.
- Pre-employment: All employees must complete fingerprinting and a criminal background investigation.
