About the role#
The Commercial Lending Intern will support the lending operations within our commercial banking division. You will gain exposure to the full lifecycle of commercial loans, including underwriting, portfolio management, and originations. This role is for those interested in commercial finance, client engagement, and strategic lending practices. This is a 12-week summer program.
What you'll do#
- Collect and review borrower documentation and prepare credit memos.
- Perform preliminary financial analysis.
- Monitor existing loan accounts, update client records, and track performance metrics.
- Support the onboarding of new clients and input application data.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth processing.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on lending strategy and client relationship management.
- Prepare summaries, reports, and presentations to support lending decisions.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Interest in commercial finance, client engagement, and strategic lending practices.
- Candidates must pass a credit check, criminal background check, and pre-employment drug screening.
