About the role#
The Commercial Lending Intern supports the commercial banking division at Axos Bank. You will gain exposure to the full lifecycle of commercial loans, including underwriting, portfolio management, and originations. This role is intended for those with an interest in commercial finance, client engagement, and strategic lending practices.
What you'll do#
- Collect and review borrower documentation and prepare credit memos.
- Perform preliminary financial analysis and track performance metrics.
- Monitor existing loan accounts and update client records.
- Support the onboarding of new clients and input application data.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth processing.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on lending strategy.
- Prepare summaries, reports, and presentations for lending decisions.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or recent completion of a degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- Interest in commercial finance and client relationship management.
- Ability to work on-site.
