About the role#
Axos Bank offers a 12-week Summer Internship Program for students interested in the banking industry. This role provides hands-on experience through daily tasks, a capstone project, and sessions with business leaders. You will work in a technology-driven environment and gain exposure to internal audit processes.
What you'll do#
- Plan, execute, and report on assigned audits across the bank.
- Analyze business processes and test internal controls for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
- Perform assurance reviews requested by the Board or Management.
- Assist with Management Framework elements and contribute to Internal Audit department improvements.
- Prepare audit reports and presentations.
- Document testing in organized work papers.
- Collaborate with team members to complete audit projects on time.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree.
- Previous internship experience in accounting or audit.
- Familiarity with SOX.
- Coursework in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience in a financial institution is beneficial.
